Were you given any idea,at your meeting with the trustees,of what the purchase price of the land would likely be acceptable/desired to/by the trustees on behalf of the members? Secondly, why have the lawyer and property developers not being consulting with the locals since the Club was dissolved last year, letting them know what they plan for the land? Thanks.
Thanks Dr,the lack of important information is not in the best interests of a small and very elderly membership. As you state,6 months would be ok but multiple years is a no go for members needing clarification and their share of the land sale.Hopefully, the trustees will contact the members with updates regarding possible change of plan of use considering the level of interest shown by the local neighbourhood for alternatives to fancy flats/townhouses?
Quite. We were led to believe that the trustees envisage this to be a plan that will take a long time for fruition when directly asked no timelines were given. I believe that if the trustees want a quick resolution we have one that would be good for all involved. I welcome the opportunity to make this case.
This long term plan for fruition is the opposite position to the one that was put to the members at the meeting last year.We were told that ongoing consultation with the neighbourhood would take place, objections would be dealt with in a convivial manner,we were shown different types of housing to be proposed for permission and this was to be finalised by August 2022 or at latest ,Dec 2022.The trustees are supposed to be acting in our best interests, that being the members and the community. As I stated before,we have no bias towards property developers.A quick and market price sale of the land with it being used in a manner that the neighbourhood is happy with,is best for all.Maybe you could ask that the trustees call a further meeting of club members to discuss the new situation and we can push for a suitable resolution because time is one thing that most members don’t have.Thanks.

Dear Bowler,
These are all salient questions to which I have no answers.
