You're reading the Broomhill Community Hub (name pending) newsletter updating you about the new campaign for taking community ownership of the bowling green on Randolph Road. You can sign up here:
Our community survey is now live! We, the Broomhill community hub campaign are asking you, our community:
What would you do with a bowling green?
Perhaps you'd like a rehearsal studio, or a community centre for the elderly, or perhaps a tool library or even a place to host further education classes? We are asking you to imagine what your community to have at its heart.
Please let us know in this short 3 minute survey at this link.
Our survey will be open for three weeks until 17/06, after it closes we will host a community meeting (details TBC) where we can discuss the way forward.
It is vitally important that this survey reaches all in our community. To this aim we will be flyering the survey to each household starting with the areas where we know there is a concentration of elderly residents (based on the 2011 census). For the paper copies of the survey we will have some drop-off locations to be indicated on the surveys themselves.

Visibility
One of the most important features of our campaign is getting our message out. To do so we need to be visible. Over the coming weeks we are seeking to cover Broomhill in our distinctive posters. If you’d like one get in touch by replying to this email!

Launch Update
A wholehearted thank you to all of you who made the meeting in short notice. It was lovely to see so many people in the community who care about this issue. Here's some photos from the event. I have been around putting up an initial sprinkling of posters around the community. Perhaps you'll spot some on the Crow Rd shops, or for some of you in your closes?

Media Coverage
We were approached by the Glasgow Times and I am happy to say that it made today's newspaper both online and in print.

Volunteers!
We need lots of volunteers over the next three weeks to spread the word about the survey. If you can spare even an hour of your time, we can put it to good use. Please get in touch by replying to this email.
