Updates on the campaign
From the outset of our campaign we aimed to have our survey run for 3 weeks, at the conclusion of these we committed ourselves to analysing the results and hosting a community meeting to discuss the responses.
We have been completely overwhelmed by success of the survey. We have promoted the survey over a large part of our community and blanketed the area highlighted in the map below with materials.
However, I am aware that of those who have clicked to open the survey only ~48% have actually submitted a response. This is normal in these types of exercises, however, I'm adding an additional 6 days to the survey in the hopes that anyone who has been meaning to fill out the survey takes 1 minute to do so. If you haven’t yet then please:
If you have a paper survey you have till 23/06 to get it to Oscar & Hollys.
Once the survey closes it will take me a fortnight to analyse the results before asking you— the community, back to meet with us. To this aim we hope to have our next meeting the week commencing 11th of July. I will update you again after the survey closes.
Posters
I am aware there are a number of people who've expressed interest in posters. I will have these out shortly to you. If you'd like an A3 or A4 poster and haven't let us know, then just reply to this email and I will get it out to you as soon as possible. It is through this visual type of display that we can make the support of this cause be known to the Club's members and trustees of Jordanhill Bowling Club.
More Media Coverage
I was recently interviewed by Glasgow World and Glasgow West End Today. We look forward to being covered in some future posts/ issue.
I will update you all with links in due course.
Other Matters in the local area
Glasgow city council has made £1M available to each area partnership for roads. GCC officers have drawn up this list of potential improvements in the area. We will be submitting our own proposals in line with our published liveable neighbourhoods documents on our website.
We have four vacancies in Broomhill Community Council. If you'd like to get involved, get in touch by replying to this email. We will be releasing further information in the next email update about the election process.
