A recap on the campaign
I was recently interviewed by GoRadio about the campaign. You can see a short 2 minute summary of the whole situation and campaign.

Website
We have a new website! Many thanks to our Committee member Robbie Dale for broomhillhub.org. If you've not yet seen it, why not take a peek?
Updates from the campaign
The Survey has now been live for a little over a week and the responses to date have been fantastic. We have over 120 responses to date. For all of you who have filled out the survey, thank you. If you're one of our supporters who has yet to fill it out:
Please let us know in this short 3 minute survey at this link.
Every response helps guide our thinking going forward.
The survey has just over 12 days to go. At this stage the most important part is reaching as many residents as possible. If you have time please do these simple tasks from home:
Speak to your neighbours
Make sure your neighbours know about the campaign and have completed the survey and signed up to the newsletter if they’re interested. Word of mouth will get us further than any leafleting or posters ever will.
Reach out to other local networks
Got a street WhatsApp group? Got children at Broomhill Primary? Member of a local group? Work in a local business? Reach out and make sure everybody knows about the project.
Sample text you can use:
The bowling green on Randolph Rd. has closed and members of the community are investigating the possibility for community ownership of the land. Right now they’re looking for ideas from all across Broomhill (and beyond!) for what people would do with it. Some ideas submitted already include a rehearsal studio, social space and tool library. You can submit your ideas to the survey, and find out more information, at www.broomhillhub.org

Invitation to the next community council meeting
As you might be aware this campaign has grown out of efforts at Broomhill community council. We will be hosting our next meeting at 19:00 on Wednesday 8th of June at the Broomhill Community Church, 1 Norby Road, G11 7BL. We will be hosting our first Public Open forum from 19:30 to allow residents to raise any concerns about the local area they would like discussed. I will also formally update the Community council on the goings on from the campaign.
You can check out the agenda for the meeting here.

Flyering update
We have been trying to reach as many members of our community as possible subject to staffing and resource constraints. We have used census 2011 information to inform where we should drop off paper surveys. I am happy to say that these are in the process of being delivered. We have arranged to have a drop-off location at Oscar & Holly's Coffee Shop. If you'd like a paper copy to fill you can also go to the shop and collect a copy. Similarly, if you know someone who wants a paper copy, please let me know by replying to this email and we will get one out to them.
We are in the process of covering the green and blue shaded areas of this map. And over the next week we will try to reach the other side of Crow road and move wider afield.

Visibility
One of the most important features of our campaign is getting our message out. To do so we need to be visible. Over the coming weeks we are seeking to cover Broomhill in our distinctive posters. If you’d like one get in touch by replying to this email!
Volunteers!
Time is ticking and we will need volunteers over the next week to spread the word about the survey. If you can spare even an hour of your time, we can put it to good use. Please get in touch by replying to this email.
